Bodybuilding.com Goes Greek!

Boise, ID – November 18, 2008 – Bodybuilding.com, the Internet’s most- visited bodybuilding and fitness site and largest retailer of nutritional supplements, participated in the newly-revived 2nd Annual Greek Week 2008 at the University of Southern California (USC).

Nationally recognized as a trend-setter in Greek life (with 20 fraternities and 10 sororities), USC Greeks are continually being recognized for athletic, philanthropic, academic, and social achievements—making USC Greek Week one of the biggest events in the community. The week-long event (October 13-17) aims to promote unity within the Greek community through a variety of events and activities.

This year, Bodybuilding.com’s booth—with its popular bench-press competition and free giveaways—was a featured attraction. The official All-Fraternity Lift-Off presented by Bodybuilding.com pitted 20 fraternity teams against each other, and although it started out close, Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike) rallied their members and put up a dominating Greek Week record of 246 reps at 225lbs. IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Bob Cicherillo was brought in to judge the event and to hand out prizes to the winners, which included a $100 gift certificate to Bodybuilding.com and free supplements.

“We are honored to have been part of such a popular event. It more than exceeded our expectations. College is a time where people start paying more attention to their health, so we are happy to be able to help them reach their goals,” said Bodybuilding.com Events Manager Mick Skinner.

Even though Greek Week is over, Bodybuilding.com can still be seen all over the USC campus on shaker bottles and t-shirts. Needless to say, the event was a big success and is an event that Bodybulding.com will continue to be a part of for years to come.

Bodybuilding.com offers more than 8,500 health and fitness supplements & accessories to help people achieve their fitness goals. They offer more than 25,000 pages of FREE bodybuilding and fitness information, including more than 12,000 articles (written by 525+ writers), video & audio segments, and new content added daily.
